Q.C. Inspection Engineer Various projects for the Brown & Root offices in Wimbledon and Aberdeen. The principle projects were Liverpool Bay, Ravenspurn, and Ravenspurn North for Hamilton Brothers, and Hudson and South Scott for Amerada Hess. Products included valves, actuators and control systems, piping, electrical, and structural bulks, and instruments.

Functioned as clients inspection representative on a high duty, high temperature, actuated valve P.O. critical to the completion of phase one of the "Rough Enhancement" project. Duties included witnessing research and duty tests at clients and suppliers facilities. Separate Q.C. inspection coverage for Brown and Root as contractors for additional phases of the same project.

Inspection Engineer Duties included vendor inspection and data compilation / review of high value project P.O. material principally surface and subsea valves and proprietary actuators at U.K, Italian, and French locations on a weekly or residential basis. The equipment was destined for Piper bravo, Chanter, and Saltire platforms with Brown and Root as principal contractors. Additional procurement Q.C. inspection for the same project of piping, structural, and electrical bulks, tagged instruments, umbilicals, hoses, laboratory and HVAC equipment throughout the U.K, central, and eastern Europe. Release of equipment, supplier evaluation and problem resolution, certification data book review, liason with C.A, project engineering, and site personnel.

Senior Q.C. Inspection Engineer, Duties included; site control and co-ordination of P.O. material mainly valve, piping, pressure vessel, structural, electrical and instrumentation equipment. Administration of pre-production meetings, sub-contractor audits and evaluations, and problem resolution. Administration of seconded staff, and the responsibility for reporting at project level several critical contracts including fast acting SI 1029 slam shut isolation valves and other similar equipment necessary for project completion.

Certification Engineer. Duties included; Quality Assurance / Surveillance and daily overview of the material and process certification requirements onshore for the Oseberg project to satisfy the requirements of the operator, Norsk Hydro. The setting up, maintenance, and verification of a computerised material certification tracking system for inter-site and inter-project material transfers. The setting up and operation of a quarantine system for the segregation, identification, and disposal of non-conforming items.

Certification Engineer. Duties included; overseeing certification receipt and review from international sites and suppliers for the Oseberg "B" project on site in Norway. Site co-ordination and visits, hook-up contractor supervision, and the resolution of certification problems as an NS 5801 requirement.
